Yonkers Parking Rules
In Yonkers Alternate side of the street parking is suspended on various holidays throughout the year. Please note that parking meters are suspended on specific major holidays: New Year's Day, Easter/Passover 8th Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Meters During Minor Holidays
For other holidays, like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, alternate side of the street parking is suspended but meters remain in effect. The city also designates Emergency Snow Routes during winter weather.
